Shelby Selland, Augustana University women’s basketball player, was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference South Division Player of the Week.
Selland put up a week average of 15 points and 9.5 rebounds in wins over Truman State and William Penn.
Versus Truman State, Selland scored 17 points and 12 rebounds, along with two blocks and two assists. In the game against William Penn, she had 13 points and seven points, along with another pair of blocks and assists. She shot 62.5 percent from the floor and hit four of her six three point attempts.
Then on Monday, Selland added 14 points, three blocked shots, three steals, three assists and two rebounds to help the Vikings beat Wayne State, 83-78.
Shelby is a junior at Augustana and the daughter of Brett and Kelly Selland of Letcher.
