State 4-H Livestock and Skill-A-Thon results

On Sept. 15-16, local 4-H youth traveled to Brookings to compete at the state Livestock Skill-a-Thon and Judging Contest held on the campus of South Dakota State University.
In the Skill-a-Thon contest, youth were asked to demonstrate how to correctly give a vaccination, identify breeds of livestock, identify equipment used with livestock, identify cuts of meat and they took an industry quiz.
The senior Livestock Judging Contest contained eight classes of livestock and four sets of oral reasons.
