To celebrate National Health Center Week, the Woonsocket Community Health Center had the pleasure to visit with Senator Jordan Youngberg. Senator Youngberg represents District 8 which includes Lake, Miner, Moody and Sanborn Counties. The staff enjoyed conversations over some local pizza and Sanborn County melons. Topics of Healthcare Reform, EMS sustainability in rural areas, the need for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners in rural areas, as well as South Dakota Medicaid were many of the topics that were covered.
