The Town of Artesian Council met on September 5, 2018, in regular session at the Artesian Community Center. Council Member K. Effling called the meeting to order with Council Member C. Danek, Council Member Travis King and Finance Officer G. Effling present. Also present were Tom Fridley and Rich Danek.
The minutes of the August 1st, 2018, meeting were read, motion to approve by Danek; seconded by King, motion carried. Financial reports were read; motion to approve by Danek, seconded by King; motion carried. The following vouchers were presented for the month; motion to approve by Danek, seconded by King; motion carried.

Old Business: Streets – The council discussed the additional gravel that was added to the city streets. Sewer/Garbage – The council reviewed billings and held a discussion on the progress of repairing sewer lines and also cleaning out some sewer lines. There was also a discussion about the street light on Hwy 34. The council discussed the ordinance for the sewer/garbage billing. Park – Discussion was held on winterizing the park and ball diamond areas.
New Business: 2019 CITY OF ARTESIAN BUDGET – Second Reading – Ordinance #2019-01. There was discussion on abandoned vehicles within city limits.
There being no further business brought before the council, meeting adjourned. The next regular meeting is scheduled for October 3, 2018, at the Artesian Community Center at 7:30 p.m.
