The Sanborn County Food Pantry, in partnership with Feeding South Dakota, is sponsoring an upcoming food giveaway for Sanborn County families in need. The food giveaway will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. at the Woonsocket Community Center. No entry will be allowed prior to 4:45 p.m.

Food giveaways provide assorted frozen and fresh produce, frozen meats, breads, canned and boxed items. Boxes for food will be available, but families participating in the food giveaway are encouraged to bring their own.

Feeding South Dakota is a statewide organization with locations in Pierre, Rapid City and Sioux Falls. Their mission is to eliminate hunger in South Dakota. For more information or to make a donation to support food giveaways, please visit feedingsouthdakota.org.
