Mayor Chada called the meeting to order with Hoffman, Larson, and Meier in attendance.

A motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Larson, carried, to approve the February 20th, 2018, minutes as read.

Old Business:

NorthWestern Energy was approved to put up a communication tower.

Discussion was held on South Dakota Housing Participate in Paint. A flyer was hung up at the Community Center. If anyone would like more information, contact the finance officer or call 605-773-3181 or visit the website at www.sdhda.org.

Spring cleaning was planned to be done at the community center, including floor waxing.

The Board is working on updating ordinances.

New Business:

The Board went over the Water Sample Report.

Discussion was held on past due accounts.

Discussion was held on the Equalization Meeting. They will pick up the paperwork on Monday, March 12th. The meeting is scheduled for March 19th at 7:00 p.m. at the finance office.

Discussion was held on the Municipal Election.

Notice is hereby given that no Municipal Election will be held on the 10th day of April 2018, for the Town of Letcher, South Dakota.The election for which public notice was given has been cancelled because valid certificates of nomination in the office of the Finance Officer for the following positions have been filed:

Ed Hoffman,

Board/Trustee Member

– Three-Year Term

Angela Larson,

Board/Trustee Member

– Two-Year Term

Because each of the candidates are unopposed, certificates of election will be issued in the same manner as to successful candidates after election.

The annual report for 2017 is done.

A motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Larson, carried, to approve the 2017 Annual Report. The report will be published in the Sanborn Weekly Journal, sent to Department of Legislative Audit, and a copy will be in the Town of Letcher Finance Office.

The 2017 Drinking Water Report was presented.

A motion was made by Larson, seconded by Hoffman, carried, to approve the 2017 Drinking Water Report. The report was signed and sent back to the Department of Energy and Natural Resources. A copy of the 2017 Drinking Water Report is available at the Town of Letcher Finance Office, Letcher Community Center, and CorTrust Bank in Letcher.
