Senior Blackhawk wrestler Bailey Schmiedt and junior Riley Stevens participated in the South Dakota State Wrestling Tournament that took place in Sioux Falls on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 23 and 24.

Neither wrestler made it to the second day of competition, but they both have a lot to be proud of as part of the best wrestlers in the state. This year’s state tournament proved that wrestling in South Dakota is stronger and better than it has been in years and is just going to continue to build from here.
