The Town ‘N Kountry Kids Blue Group 4-H Club enjoyed an afternoon at a jewelry making workshop in the Letcher Community Center on July 13. Approximately 15 members enjoyed the activity with Greta Sonne in charge; Karen Sonne assisted. The members watched a video, worked on bead selection, style, and correct finishing techniques. Members enjoyed making bracelets and necklaces that they took home.

Wednesday night was a very exciting time at dog practice! Participants got to try out five new obstacles purchased for dog agility. New equipment included a tire jump, dog walk, weave poles, see-saw and pause table.
It was so much fun teaching the dogs and encouraging them to try these new things. For many of the dogs, it was scary to walk across a see-saw that moved and to balance across a narrow walkway. Many techniques (including dog treats) were used to encourage them every step of the way.
Dogs and humans are learning patience and technique as they prepare for the upcoming dog show at Achievement Days.

Douglas Janzing, 54, of Mitchell, died Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Mitchell.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 24, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Artesian. Visitation will be Sunday, July 23, from 1-3 p.m. at Bittner Funeral Chapel with a 2:30 p.m. prayer service.
