Sanborn Central’s American Government class visited Aberdeen on March 21 to hear oral arguments in court cases before the State Supreme Court. The trip was a culmination of Mr. Steele’s unit on the criminal justice system and America’s courts. The seniors were exposed to three court cases and heard attorneys present arguments on behalf of their clients. After court concluded, the class discussed the cases they had witnessed and upon their arrival home, penned papers as to their thoughts on the cases that were tried before the state’s highest court.
