The students of Woonsocket Elementary’s PreK through fourth grades recently saw some notable changes in their classrooms. The traditional desks with attached seats are becoming scarce in many schools. The use of different types of desks and seating has been studied and has proven to help some students with staying focused and to help teachers to be able to do more of a variety of lessons or projects in order to meet the learning needs of each individual student. Therefore, they are helping more students be successful at learning in the classroom setting.
