One of the industrial technology classes offered at Woonsocket High School is Industrial Tech II: power and technology. In the class, taught by Mr. Darin Schmiedt, the students study work, energy and power. In the class, the instruction explores the history, function and makeup of all types of engines from small engines to rocket engines. One activity they use to demonstrate propulsion is the building of their own CO² cars and racing them. 

The results of this year’s CO² car race are as follows: Camden Rassel, first; Kade Olinger, second; Devyn Brooks, third; and Ethan Schmiedt, fourth.
