Last week, over the weekend of July 14, 15 and 16, Hudson and Ramsey Fouberg competed in 4-H rodeo. On Friday, July 14, Hudson brought home sixth place in the goat tying event at the Winner 4-H Rodeo competition. On Saturday, July 15, Ramsey competed in the Heartland 4-H Rodeo in Huron. She won the flag race, placed third in the poles and took fifth place in goat tying. She tied with Charleigh Brewer from Wessington for All-Around Junior Girl for that day’s performance. On Sunday, Ramsey claimed first in goat tying and fifth in the barrels.
Ledoux Bracha also competed in the Heartland 4-H Rodeo in Huron over the weekend of July 15 and 16. He placed first in cattle riding on Saturday and second in the same event on Sunday. He earned a buckle for his championship ride on Saturday.
Over the recent weekend, July 22 and 23, the place to ride was in Clark for the two-day 4-H rodeo there, where Sanborn County swept livestock riding events. Bracha claimed another first place finish in cattle riding on Saturday, and Tanner Christian earned first place riding bulls on Saturday. Christian earned a buckle for his first-place ride. Christian also earned second in the bull-riding event on Sunday. They have both qualified to ride at the State 4-H Rodeo Finals in Fort Pierre August 18-20.
The Foubergs also competed in Clark over the weekend, and Ramsey won the goat tying again. Hudson earned third place in goats and earned her spot to join the others at the State Rodeo 4-H Finals in August.
Ramsey and Hudson Fouberg are the daughters of Denny and Jen Fouberg of Letcher. Ledoux Bracha is the son of Luke and Becky Bracha of Forestburg. Tanner Christian is the son of Kristi Weber and Stuart Christian of Woonsocket.
