Born on Feb. 16, 30-year-old William Walker started his teaching career at Dakota Wesleyan University. Originally from Salem, Ore., his dad kick started his career by talking about politics constantly. He finally became interested in it enough to learn more. Mr. Walker’s mom was a teacher, who also inspired his choice of becoming a history teacher to help other kids learn about the things he was really interested in then, and now an adult. Other than having his parents teaching him and informing him on historical events, he loves to read and learn more because he is very fascinated by what his parents have taught and told him.
Although Mr. Walker does not believe in unicorns, he loves to spend his free-time with his son and going camping, hiking or other doing activities outdoors. You can find him in the country eating a bacon cheeseburger instead of eating a fancy unpronounceable food in the city. If he hadn’t chosen teaching he would either be a professional chef, or a semi-pro football player. Someday, in the near future, a lucky bunch of kids will have him as a social studies teacher and hopefully, a football coach as well.
