Mrs. Tracy Moody’s classroom at Sanborn Central has a new face in it this year. Mrs. Deb Teger, a Dakota Wesleyan University student, is helping out as a student teacher.
Mrs. Teger is a non-traditional student. She went to college, then quit because of her family. She went back to school later to finish as an adult after her kids graduated.
Her favorite places that she has lived are Florida, North Carolina and South Dakota. She grew up in Mitchell and she lived on a farm. She came to this school because Dakota Wesleyan and Sanborn Central made the decision to send her here. She loves what she does, a lot.
Mrs. Teger graduated from Mitchell High School. She almost has a completed degree in biology education. She is really glad to be here. She loves the school and loves to come and help the kids. She also used to work in restaurant management, in health care and owned a pet store.
She has two kids, a son and a daughter. Her favorite color is green, and her favorite movie is any of “The Lord of the Rings” movies. Mrs. Teger’s favorite foods are pasta and ice cream and her favorite animal is the cheetah. She loves to garden, take care of animals and has a dog that weighs 120 pounds.
