The Town ’n Kountry Kids 4-H Club Blue Group met on Sept. 16 at the Letcher ballpark.
Pledges were led by Alexis Kelly and Chloe Degen. Roll call topic of “What is your favorite thing to do at the State Fair?” was answered by 14 members. The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were given. Fifty dollars was donated by the Letcher Town Board to the club.
Old Business: Discussion was held about the Fourth of July parade in Woonsocket, staining the Rossy Park fence and library sign, Achievement Day, State Fair and assisting with cleaning the Letcher Community Center.
New Business: Record books are due on Oct. 1. Award forms are also due on that date. Discussion was held on the club sign on the east side of town.
Talks and demonstrations were given by: Alexis Kelly – Making Play Dough; Mason, Madi, Bailey and Logan Moody – Apple Snickers Salad.
The group enjoyed a potluck supper and a few innings of softball with parents. Approximately 45 adults and members were present.
The next meeting will be Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. in the Letcher Community Center. New members are welcome.
