Jason Coenen began work Oct. 1 in the Sanborn County Sheriff’s office as a deputy and cop for the City of Woonsocket. Coenen came from Willow Lake where he lived for six years and was a Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy there for 2-1/2 years. Before taking on the role of deputy, Coenen served as an EMT for Clark County. Coenen says he will help out the Sanborn County EMTs, when needed as his duties as deputy allow. Coenen lives in Woonsocket with his daughter, Taylor, who is 16 and a junior at Woonsocket High School.
