Sanborn Central/Woonsocket made a good run against Howard Monday with a 60-42 win in girls’ basketball action at Forestburg.
Shelby Selland swished 16 points through the nets and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Blackhawks  to their 3-0 standing.
Marissa Weber collected a dozen and Rachel Selland recorded 10 points for SCW. Rachelle Moore made five assists, nine points and stole the ball four times to finish the night.
Howard was led by Jenna Clark with 17 points. McKenna Rudebusch pulled down seven rebounds.
The Blackhawks secured 32 rebounds, had 20 turnovers and were 19-of-57 from the field. The Tigers amassed 23 boards and turned the ball over 23 times hitting 16-of-51 from the field.
