Legion Auxiliary Post #93 hosts Veteran’s Day appreciation potluck

The American Legion Auxiliary Post #93 hosted an appreciation supper and evening of entertainment on Sunday, Nov. 11. A potluck supper was enjoyed by approximately 40 guests. This was followed by a program with Kathy Northrup as emcee.     An account of the Persian Gulf War was read by Northrup. The crowd was then entertained with music by Riley Zoss singing “God Bless the USA,” Maddi Moody sang “I’ll Fly Away” and the Letcher Church Ladies sang “America the Beautiful” and “Heal This  Land.” Members of the group are: Cindy VanLaecken, Dvonne Hansen, Holly Hansen, Barb Campbell and Rebecca Nelson. Riley Zoss also joined them. They were accompanied by Joyce Swagger on the piano. The crowd joined in singing the theme songs for each branch of the service.      Donald Moe presented the following veterans with Certificates of Recognition: Jerry Grabenstein, Danny Parce, Derek Parce, Perry Moody, Miles Northrup, Jeremy White, Doug Moody, Tera Moody, Shelly Selland, Allen Stekl, Chris Hoffman, Dennis Hoffman and Lewis Hemminger.  The evening concluded with all singing “God Bless America.”Veteran’s Day appreciation potluck
