The Letcher Legion Auxiliary recently completed judging of the 2013 annual poem and essay contests. First place in each division will advance to the district level.
Winners of the poem contest in third grade were: first – Leighton Tarbox; second – Elliana Kisor; third – Teyana Moody.
Winners in fourth grade were: first – Chloe Sewall; second – Alexis Kelly; third – Cassidy Slykhuis.
Winners in fifth grade were: first – Chloe Degen; second – Tater Moody, third – Dakota Kidder.
Winners in sixth grade were: first – Madi Moody; second – Cole Moody; third – Renee Farmer.
Winners of the essay contest in seventh and eighth grade were: first – Myah Selland; second – Byron Jessen; third – Koby Larson.
Winners in ninth and 10th grade were: first – Amberiah Smith; second – Clayton Sewall; third – Taylor Peck.
Winners in 11th grade were: first – Nick Miller; second – Drew Duffel; third – Alec Schmidt.
