THE SUNDAY school entertained residents of Prairie View Care Center after the Rally Day service.

A Rally Day service was held in the Woonsocket Community Center on Sunday, Sept. 8 for the Bethany Lutheran, Forestburg Lutheran and United Methodist parishes. This annual event is the kick-off for the Sunday school season.
The theme for the day was “God’s Work. Our Hands”. To follow the theme, those attending brought nonperishable food items for the local food pantry and participated in a service project following the service. During the service the children sang a song for the congregation and then Pastor Rhonda Wellsandt-Zell blessed the school backpacks.
As a service project, the Sunday school children participated in a communion service at Prairie View Care Center led by Pastor Rhonda before returning to the community center where a light lunch was served to the entire congregation.
