Shelby Selland, senior at Sanborn Central High School, was selected as a state finalist for the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award.
She is one of just 10 girls selected in the state of South Dakota and was awarded a bronze medal, a Heisman patch and a Wendy’s gift certificate.
The Wendy’s High School Heisman rewards outstanding students that not only outperform their competition in sports, but strive for the highest standards of excellence in all they do.
Shelby is the daughter of Brett and Kelly Selland of Letcher. She committed to play basketball  for Augustana College before this season began.
