Town ‘N Kountry Kids Red Crew 4-H Club meet

The Town ‘N Kountry Kids Red Crew 4-H Club met on Nov. 13 at the Woonsocket Community Center.
Prior to the meeting, club members made apple pies for the teachers and staff at Woonsocket School for American Education Week.  They also made ornaments for their Courthouse Christmas tree.
The meeting was called to order by Vice President Rex Schlicht. The flag pledge was led by Hope Baysinger and the 4-H pledge was led by Xavier Baysinger. Rex led roll call with 24 members answering the question, “What is one of your pet peeves?”
The secretary’s report was read by Secretary Aaron Linke and approved as presented. The treasurer’s report was presented by Jr. Treasurer Bailey Feistner.  It was decided to give $100 to the Community Center Theatre Addition fund and to approve paying bills for food, printer ink and 4-H week candy.
Trista White gave a report on setting barrels. Bailey Feistner talked about what was done on the 4-H Week Fun Day. Morgan Schmiedt and Nathan Linke gave a report on attending the Western Junior Livestock Show.
Under New Business, the members talked about their application for a BOSDRC grant to purchase more poultry/rabbit cages.
Next, they talked about record books. They discussed what could have been done better and why. Everyone was reminded that they had to re-enroll online for the 2015-16 year.
The members then reviewed last year’s club goals of 100 percent record book turn in, competing in at least one Youth-in-Action activity, all participating in community service, and looking for new community service ideas, and discussed if goals were met. They decided to reinstate these same goals for this next year.
The Recognition Event that is Sunday, Nov. 15 was discussed.  Members need to bring food for potluck and two dozen bars or cookies for the sponsor plates.
American Education Week celebration plans were discussed. The Club will deliver apple pie, ice cream and thank you notes to the teacher breakrooms for the teachers and staff on Monday.
Setting individual goals and picking some that challenge members to do better was discussed.
The Christmas Caring Project was discussed. Each family will bring two dozen cookies or Christmas treats for a swap to make up goodie plates for the ambulance drivers, firefighters, etc.  Motion carried.
