Coach Tim McCain earned his 300th win on Friday, Jan. 15, at Wolsey during the first round of the 281 Conference Tournament against the Iroquois Chiefs.
Coach McCain is currently the co-head basketball coach of the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Lady Blackhawks. He has been coaching the SCW Blackhawks for four years, but in total, McCain has been coaching for 34 years.
In those 34 years, he has coached at Montrose, Mitchell, Artesian, Artesian-Letcher, Sanborn Central and SCW.  McCain’s favorite part about coaching is the interaction with the players.  The coach was happy about this exciting accomplishment, but he said, “It is all due to the players I have had.”
