Dorothy Weinberger visited Shirley Tanner on Thursday afternoon.
The Raymond and Margaret Dean family of 13 children had a family reunion at Camp Lakodia in Madison on Aug. 5-7.
Of the 13, three have passed away: Arlene, Deanna, Betty; Margie is in Germany, Ruth was unable to attend, but Marion, Jr., Eleanor, Audrey, Katie, Debra, Henry and Bill were able to attend.
On Friday evening, they started the festivites with the celebration of Russell and Carmin Deans’ recent marriage, which was on July 30, with a supper and dance.
Saturday’s events began with breakfast, a competitive 48-team bean bag tournament, lunch, pictures  and, of course, a lot of visiting and catching up. Some parts of the family spent Saturday meeting cousins, which some have never even met.
Sunday began with breakfast, and people started to leave for home.
In whole, there were 156 in attendence, with families  from Sioux  Falls,  Iroquois, Brandon, Huron, California,  New Mexico,  Wyoming,  Florida,  Mississippi,  Minnesota,  Illinois,  Iowa,  South Carolina and Nevada.
