The Blackhawk boys took out Hitchcock-Tulare Saturday night, 59-34, for their fourth win of the season, at home in Forestburg.
Dillon Moore and Brady Tiede led their team on offense with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Moore also had six boards and Tiede, five.
Also helping out the SCW cause was Josh Feiner with nine points, Tucker Kingsbury with seven, and Trevor Olson with five.
Kingsbury led in assists with four of the team’s 12.
Defensively, Kingsbury, Feiner and Moore each had four steals, while Olson grabbed three of the team’s total 17. Moore, Tiede and Wyatt Feistner all made two blocks apiece.
The Hawks committed just five turnovers, while forcing 24, but lost the rebounding battle, 19-26.
SCW shot 50 percent on 50 attempts, while H-T made 13-of-37 field goals for 35 percent. The Hawks went just 25 percent at the line on 3-of-12 and the Patriots made six out of 14 free throw attempts.
Leading scorer for Hitchcock-Tulare was Chase Bixler with 13 points.
H-T fell to 2-4 on their season, while the Blackhawks improved to 4-0 and were scheduled to travel to Emery Jan. 5 to battle Bridgewater/Emery.
SCW also won the JV game, 29-22.
