The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket girls’ basketball team easily defeated Iroquois in a 74-26 win Tuesday, Feb. 9 in Woonsocket.
Myah Selland recorded 23 points, six rebounds and three assists, while Kayla Olson added nine points, five assists and three steals in the win. The Lady Hawks shot 28-of-57 for 49 percent from the field and 14-of-18 for 78 percent from the free throw line.
Allison Bich scored 11 points for Iroquois in the loss. The Chiefs shot only 36 percent from the field and 66 percent from the line.
SC/W out-rebounded their opponent 20-16.
With the win, the Blackhawks improved to 13-4 and looked toward visiting Highmore-Harrold on Friday.
