On Thursday, Nov. 10, the Sanborn Central Student Council presented a Veterans Day program that was open to all veterans and the public.
The Sanborn Central band started the program off with “The National Anthem” and “America the Beautiful.” Trevor Olson spoke on the history of Veterans Day, and Koby Larson presented a YouTube video on Veterans Day. Garrett Dean recited the poem “A Tribute to Veterans Day.”
The Kindergarten Class sang a song, “Celebrating Heroes,” and Myah Selland spoke on the importance of Veterans Day. The program ended with closing remarks from Mr. Siemsen. There were several veterans and their families present for the program.
