The Woonsocket School Board voted recently to approve a co-op with Sanborn Central for their cross country program with the hopes of increasing interest in the sport.
Sanborn Central’s School Board also approved the proposed co-op at their recent board meeting.
Currently three athletes from Woonsocket take part in cross country meets, but they aren’t able to compete as a team, just as individual competitors.
Woonsocket will submit an application for the co-op to the South Dakota High School Activities Association. The team will participate under the Blackhawk name.
