A 5K race will again be taking place this year at the Woonsocket Water Festival on Saturday, July 2, beginning at 10 a.m. The route goes around Woonsocket starting at the north edge of Lake Prior.
The age divisions are 13 and under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, and 40 and over. Medals will be awarded to the first place male and female winners in each age group.
There will be a $15 entry fee for those who wish to receive a T-shirt as a souvenir of their efforts. Individuals can enter the day of the event, but if you want a T-shirt, register by June 23. Entry forms can be picked up at Express Stop in Woonsocket.
