On Sunday, June 5, the TL Rangers 4-H Club met at the home of the Lindsey family, the hosts for the meeting. Everyone enjoyed a delicious potluck meal with grilled hamburgers and hot dogs prior to the start of the meeting.
Club President, Tyler Eddy, was absent, so the meeting was led by Vice President, Taylor Lindsey. Mariah Jost led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Taryn Ziebart led the 4-H pledge.
Many important dates were discussed, with a lot of activities for the 4-H members taking place this summer. June is National Dairy Month, and it was decided to pass out ice cream or other cold dairy products at a couple of home baseball/softball games in Woonsocket this month. A July activity of a possible trip to Sioux Falls was discussed. Club Leader, Sarah Olinger, had gotten information on some short nature hikes to take and then the club could possibly work in a community service at the Ronald McDonald House. Other ideas were brought up; nothing was decided, but it will be determined when everyone has more information for their ideas.
State Fair registration is Aug. 1, so all members were encouraged to get to work on their projects and exhibits.
The next meeting was planned as the club activity in July.
