MITCHELL — Dakota Wesleyan University graduated its largest class in its 131-year history this spring.
DWU’s commencement ceremony took place May 8 at the Corn Palace in Mitchell with 283 degrees conferred: 52 associate degrees, 204 bachelor degrees and 27 master degrees.
The following students from the area that graduated are:
Lacey VanLaecken, Letcher, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is the daughter of Murray and Cindy VanLaecken, of Letcher.
Candace Page-Marten, Artesian, with an Associate of Science degree in nursing. She is the daughter of Jane Page-Martin, Artesian.
Karli Voorhees, Forestburg, with an Associate of Science degree in nursing.
Eric Warkenthien, Woonsocket, with a Bachelor of Arts degrees in corporate/homeland security and criminal justice. He is the son of Penny Schulz, Woonsocket.
