The Town ‘N Kountry Kids 4-H club met July 18 at the Letcher Community Center.  The meeting was called to order by President Cole Moody. Pledges were led by Bryce Larson and Payton Uecker. Roll call topic of “a job you think would be fun someday” was answered by 23 members and three guests. The secretary’s report was read by Ashlee Hansen. The treasurer’s report was given by Brady Larson and approved.
Activity reports were given by Ashlee Hansen, Michael Hoffman, Dean Hansen, Tori Hoffman, Kara Wormstadt, and Payton Uecker, on club sewing days. A fashion revue report was given by Tori Hoffman, Ashlee Hansen and Dean Hansen. 4-H camp reports were given by Toby Kneen, Caleb Kneen and Ashlee Hansen.
The club decided to hold a fun day at Splash Central in Huron on Aug. 7 at 1 p.m., with pizza at Godfather’s at 4:30 p.m. Guests and parents will cost $10.
The upcoming pie contest was discussed.
It was decided to purchase a flag pole with a solar light to be placed at the 4-H grounds in Forestburg. If extra money is available, it will be spent on improvements at the 4-H center.
New business: Peach sales, BBQ tickets, 4-H companion show, online registrations, livestock judging and Achievement Days were discussed. Bryce Larson made a motion to purchase 10 BBQ tickets to be given to local supporters of the 4-H program.
Recreation was a worm race and learning the chicken dance.  Lunch was served by Janet Maeschen. The next meeting will be Aug. 7 at Godfathers.
The club met at Splash Central on Aug. 7. The members and families enjoyed swimming and pizza at Godfathers.  Approximately 55 people attended this event.
