Leighton Harvard Ruml, son of Steven and Liz (Hetland) Ruml, was baptized at the Embrace Church in Sioux Falls, Sunday, March 26.
Godparents were Sara and Curtis Adams of Letcher and Nancy and Kelly Gukeisen of Mitchell. Grandparents are Ron and Sandi Ruml of Letcher and Mary Ann Hetland of Mitchell and the late Harvard Hetland.
An early supper was held at Pizza Ranch in Sioux Falls.
Other guests were Stacy Ruml, Shawn, Kelsey and Lauren Ruml, Shanna and Tim Moke and family, Paul and Deanna Hetland and family,  Kelly and Nancy Gukeisen and family, Isaac Westergaard and Emily Gillespie.
The white baptismal blanket that was used for Leighton is a silky cotton, with hand crocheted edging that was made by Grandmother Marie Semmler in 1941 and has been used by all of her siblings and all the grandchildren in the Semmler family, including this, the 10th grandchild of Sandi Ruml. That is a total of 33 baptisms at which the blanket has been present.
