Hinker, Lynch honored for 40 years of service

JUDY HINKER and Paula Lynch were honored May 9 at the annual Woonsocket School Triple A Awards Banquet, each for their 40 years of service in teaching.

The annual Woonsocket Triple “A” Awards Banquet was held Tuesday, May 9, to recognize high school and junior high students for their achievements in academics, athletics and activities throughout the school year.
Teacher Service Awards were presented to: five years – Shannon VanHeerden, Mitch Korbel, Armando Rodriguez, Brett Kroeger, Julie Bebout, Rebecca Hinker; 15 years – Rob Baruth; 20 years – Rick Olsen; 30 years – Rose Delvaux, Shelley Schlicht, Cathy Hegg; 40 years – Judy Hinker, Paula Lynch.
Distinguished service awards were also given. These awards go to people who have helped and devoted time for the Woonsocket School system. This year’s special distinguished service awards went to Hegg Insurance and Pat Carsrud
Elementary Teacher of the Year was Jessica Bruce.
High School Teacher of the Year was Sarah Lieber.
Fan of the Year award for 2016-2017 – Julie Bebout and Anne Kirsh.
