On Monday, Oct. 14, Paulo Padilha and his band arrived in Woonsocket to perform in the morning for the students in grades Pre-K through 12. After lunch, they went on to do the same performance at Sanborn Central for their students. Paulo and his band hail from Brazil, and they are traveling through the United States performing their music through the organization Arts in the Midwest based out of Minneapolis. The Huron Area Arts Council worked with the Arts in the Midwest to bring the band to this area to put on a concert in Huron and to present workshops at local schools. They will be visiting 14 different locations for concerts in the Midwest during their tour in the United States.
