The 4-H Building in Forestburg was overflowing with high fashion and modeling at the recent 4-H Fashion Revue Contest on Wednesday, July 28. Ten 4-Hers and one Cloverbud did an incredible job putting together their outfits and showing them off to the judges! The 11 contestants kept the two judges, Jeanette Linke and Cindy Larson, busy with a total of 21 outfits!
New to the Fashion Revue Contest this year was a one to two minute oral presentation to the judges for the Senior 4-H members. The presentation could include information about the garment being modeled, learning experiences or activities in the clothing and textile project, future project/personal plans, and any other information related to their 4-H career. Beginner and Junior members were asked to introduce themselves before their evaluation by stating their name, county and one additional personal fact.
Senior members are judged on their oral presentation skills, oral presentation content, appearance of outfit/garment, responses to judges’ questions and their modeling. Beginner and Junior members are evaluated on their interview and personal presentation, modeling, appearance of outfit/garment, and the total look created with the use of complementing accessories
