To celebrate Read Across America Day, the Sanborn Central elementary teachers invited Big “J” from KMIT radio to read to the students.
One of the books was “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Suess which was a huge hit with the students. Mrs. Schmit and the kindergarten students invited Big “J’ to their room to eat green eggs which turned out to be quite tasty and a lot of fun.
Dr. Suess Day is actually March 2, which landed on a Saturday this year, so Sanborn Central celebrated on March 4-7. Throughout the week students enjoyed reading many Dr. Suess books and making art projects and enjoying activiites that pertained to Dr. Suess.
