Woonsocket

Edmond Regynski, 93, formally of Huron and Mitchell and Woonsocket, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 12, 2014 at the Prairie View Care Center in Woonsocket. As to his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Arrangements were announced by the Basham Funeral Home in Wessington Springs.
Edmond was born on Nov. 26, 1920 in Jerauld County to Charles and Katherine (Steichen) Regynski. He graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1948. Following graduation he farmed in Sanborn County. In 1958 he moved to California, where he worked as a carpenter until his retirement in 1986. He then moved back to South Dakota to spend his final years.
He was married to Warilda Baufman.
He is survived by a daughter, Cathie Hohn, and her husband, LeRon, of Panora, Iowa; a son, Bill, and his wife, Mary, of Shelbyville, Tenn.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Morris of Huron.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a brother, George; and three sisters, Florence, Elsie and Evelyn.
