The City of Artesian Council met on July 6, 2016, in regular session at the Artesian Community Center. Council Member Effling called the meeting to order with Council Member Danek and Richard, Tom Fridley and Finance Officer Steele present.
The minutes of the June 8, 2016, meeting were read. Motion to approve by Danek, seconded by Richard, motion carried. Motion by Danek, seconded by Richard, to approve the Financial Statement and approval of vouchers as presented by Steele. Motion carried. The following vouchers were presented for the month:

Streets: Mowing and gravel was discussed.
Sewer/garbage: Reviewed accounts receivable and discussion was held on past due accounts.
Correction from last months minutes. No telephone meeting was held to discuss bids on city furnace. Council will rebid on furnace.
Pool/Campground:
New Business:
Motion by Richard, seconded by Danek, to approve joining District III. Finance Officer position to be tabled until August. Motion by Richard, seconded by Danek, to approve acceptance of 2017 mosquito grant. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be August 3, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. at the Artesian Community Center.
There being no further business, Richard moved, Danek seconded, and carried, to adjourn.
