The SC/W boys avenged a 281 Championship Tournament loss by soundly beating the Warbirds on their home court in basketball action Saturday, Feb. 6.
At the first quarter buzzer, the Hawks trailed by two points, but took the lead 38-21 at half time and never looked back to win 61-44.
Dillon Moore led SC/W with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Brady Tiede added 14 points and Josh Feiner contributed 13. Tucker Kingsbury added 13 assists in the win.
The Blackhawks shot 23-of-43 for 51 percent from the floor and 7-of-13 from the line for 54 percent.
Wolsey-Wessington shot 41 percent from the field and 3-of-6 from the line.
SCW improved to 12-3 with the win and took on Iroquois Tuesday, Feb. 9. in Woonsocket.
