Mayor Chada called the meeting to order with Hoffman, Knutson, and Meier in attendance.
Carla Amick, Kenny and Lila Stach, Andy Ettswold, and Steve Larson also met with the board.
A motion was made by Knutson, seconded by Hoffman, carried, to approve the April 4th, 2016 minutes as read.
A motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Knutson, carried, to approve the financials as presented.
Old Business: There is no old business at this time.
New Business: Discussion was held with Carla Amick, Kenny Stach, and Lila Stach regarding purchasing a security camera system for the community center/fire hall. Kenny Stach was going to get more information and discussion at the next meeting.
A motion was made by Knutson, seconded by Hoffman, carried, to approve the Town of Letcher paying for the dumpsters for one week for clean-up.
Discussion was held with Steve Larson and Andy Ettswold about the Letcher Summer Youth.
A motion was made by Hoffman, seconded by Knutson, carried, to approve to hire Larry Lyle for summer help for the town.
A motion was made by Knutson, seconded by Hoffman, carried, to approve for sealed bids for the JD Z234 mower and the 10 x 12 white storage shed. Accepting bids until April 30th, 2016.
A motion was made by Knutson, seconded by Hoffman, carried, to approve the following claims for payment:
Water/Sewer: Menards $18.99 batteries and supplies, Brooks Oil $85.00 propane for water house, Best Buy $1,060.78 computer;
General: Sanborn Weekly Journal $78.24 advertising, Morgan Theeler $989.26 lawyer fees, Brooks Oil $255.00 propane for community center, Mary Ackman $358.71 payroll.
The next board meetings will be held on May 4th, 2016, May 24th, 2016, and June 7th, 2016 at the City Office.
