The Blackhawks and Rustlers were tied at the first two buzzers Monday night, but SCW spent the second half earning and maintaining a lead to beat Ethan, 66-60.
Dillon Moore took the lead for the Hawks with 28 points and seven rebounds, along with three blocks.
Tucker Kingsbury made double figures with 10 points. Kingsbury also led his team in assists with six and had two steals on defense.
Brady Tiede and Garrett Larson helped out their team with nine points apiece. Trent Kingsbury added up the most steals with four.
The Blackhawks shot 29-of-64 for 45 percent from the floor and hit four out of 10 free throw tries.
Ethan was led by Camden Myers’ double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Rylee Riggs added 16 points. Ethan shot 47 percent from the field and 75 percent on 12 free throws.
Ethan fell to 8-7 for their season, while SCW improved to 10-3 as they prepare to host Corsica-Stickney Thursday night in Forestburg.
