Local youth basketball team travels to Faulkton

The youth boys basketball team made up of third, fourth and fifth graders from Sanborn Central and Woonsocket traveled to Faulkton on Saturday, March 12, to participate in the Faulkton Fourth/Fifth Grade Round Robin. In their first game of the day, the SCW team played against a team from Miller. SCW worked well together and claimed the win over Miller. In their second game, SCW met the Redfield youth team on the court and once again came away with the win over Redfield. In their third and final game of the day, the SCW boys played the team from Faulkton. The boys worked hard, but in the end, the Faulkton team proved a little too tough and came away with the win over the SCW team. The SCW boys had a good day overall with a 2-1 record in the round robin.
