On Tuesday, Jan. 4, the Wessington Springs/Woonsocket/Wolsey-Wessington Warhawks traveled to Gregory for a triangular against Lyman and Burke/Gregory. The went up against the Raiders from Lyman first, which resulted in a win for the Warhawks. The final score was Warhawks 48, Lyman 31.

Against Burke/Gregory the Warhawks worked hard but struggled to pull out a win. The final score was Warhawks 24, Burke/Gregory 50.

Next up for the Warhawks was the Miller/Highmore-Harrold Invitational in Miller on Saturday, Jan. 8. The Warhawks finished sixth as a team with 113.5 points.

The Warhawks will see their next mat action tonight (Thursday) as they host a quadrangular with Howard, Warner/Northwestern and Kimball/White Lake/Platte-Geddes in Wessington Springs starting at 5 p.m. They then travel to Gettysburg for the Battler Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 15 starting at 10 a.m.
