Kenneth Harold Johnson, 84, Mitchell, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 in his home. Graveside services were Saturday in Graceland Cemetery, Mitchell. He was born Dec. 13, 1927 at Letcher to William and Anna (Soma) Johnson. He grew up at Letcher, where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On Jan. 8, 1960, he married Gail Andrea Irving at Luverne, Minn. They resided at Mitchell, where Ken was the owner and operator of Ken Johnson Repair Service. He is survived by his one son, Steven Johnson, Glendale, Ariz.; two daughters, Cathy (John) Rysavy, Overland Park, Kan., and Sarah (Dale) Baumgartner, Parkersburg, W.Va., 12 grandchildren and one brother, John Johnson, Sioux Falls. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail; a son, Michael; two brothers, Floyd and William; and two sisters, Vivian Hoeltzner and Marie Larimer. Bittner Funeral Chapel, Mitchell, assisted with the arrangements.
