Patricia Edith “Pat” Roache, 73, Huron, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, in Huron Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21 in St. Wilfrid Catholic Church, Woonsocket.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Basham Funeral Home, Woonsocket.
She was born April 23, 1939 to Darrell and Alice (Fitzgerald) Parsons of Woonsocket.
Patricia married John R. Roache Jr. on March 18, 1958, at Whittier, Calif.
She graduated from Huron College.
Patricia taught music at St. Martin’s School and worked as an accountant until her retirement in 1989.
She was awarded “Boss of the Year” by the Huron High School office practice program.
Patricia also was the director of the St. Martin’s Catholic Church choir for 25 years.
She enjoyed playing piano and organ, singing, gardening, traveling and spending time with family.
She devoted her life to her husband of 54 years, and to her children and grandchildren.
Patricia was a gracious and compassionate woman to all who met her.
She is survived by her husband; five children, John F. and Martin, both of Huron, Sandra Roache-Smith, Parker, Colo., Suzanne VandeBerg, Madison, and Carrie (Chris) Nipe, Madison; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a son-in-law.
