The Artesian American Legion Auxiliary met on Sept. 11 in the Artesian Community center. Members present were Jan Ebersdorfer, Kathy Zimmerman, Carol Hendrix, Jo Gaston and Karen Klinkner.
Karen Klinkner called the meeting to order. Kathy Zimmerman read the treasurers report.
Karen Klinkner read a thank you from Rachelle Moore for the scholarship money and reported that Thrivent gave a donation for Memorial Day.
Members brought Christmas gifts and Jo Gaston and Carol Hendrix will send them to the VA in Hot Springs.
Jan Ebersdorfer will provide an outline for Girls State reports. Karen Klinkner will check into purchasing Girls State pins.
The groups voted to dontate  money to the local backpack project.
The next meeting is scheduled for Oct. 9  at 7:30 p.m.  Jan Ebersdorfer served lunch.
