The Town of Artesian Council met on June 5, 2013 in regular session at the Artesian Community Center. Council Member Effling called the meeting to order with Council Member Danek, Finance Officer Ebersdorfer and Tom Fridley present.
The minutes of the May 1, 2013 meeeting were read.  Motion to approve by Danek, seconded by Effling; motion carried. Motion by Danek, seconded by Effling,  to approve the Financial Statement and approval of vouchers as presented by Ebersdorfer. Motion carried. The following vouchers were presented for the month:

Sewer/Garbage: Reviewed accounts receivable and discussion was held on past due accounts.
Pool/Campground: Continuous stay at campground rate will be $7.50/night.  Campsites will be $20/night. Fun Day discussed.
New Business: Motion by Danek, seconded by Effling, to approve temporary license for Longbranch Bar during the Artesian Street Dance if needed on June 22, 2013. Motion carried. Motion by Danek, seconded by Effling, to not  join District III.  Motion carried. Motion by Danek, seconded by Effling, to smoke sewer lines. Motion carried.  Motion by Danek, second by Effling, to declare the following property as surplus: misc. windows, riding lawn mower, propane tanks.
The next meeting will be July 3, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Artesian Community Center.
