The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Lady Blackhawks took fifth place in the Custer Battlefield Highway Conference Tournament at Kimball on Saturday, Sept. 14. They beat Corsica/Stickney 25-17 and 25-19.
Rachel Selland led the Blackhawks with seven digs, 11 assists and two aces, while Myah Selland added seven kills and four blocks.
Dijana Muilenburg got 10 assists and five digs for Corsica/Stickney and Micayla Bamberg had five kills.
The Blackhawks next battle was Tuesday at Wessington Springs. They will take a few days off to celebrate homecoming before heading to Emery on Saturday for a tournament.
