Cloverbud Project Day

Cloverbuds work on their art projects. By putting paint on their hands and fists, they were able to create different animals.

A Cloverbud Project Day was held on Tuesday, June 4 from 1-4 p.m. at the 4-H Building in Forestburg.  The theme of the day was “Crazy Critters.”
Several 4-H Junior Leaders were invited to share their knowledge of various animals with the 11 Cloverbuds who attended.  Aaron Linke brought in a cat and talked about grooming and showmanship.  Wyatt Feistner brought in a chicken and was able to teach the group about the parts of a chicken, how to hold them and take care of their poultry.  Spens Schlicht brought in his rabbit and explained showmanship and how to work with a rabbit.  Carissa Scheel also brought in two of her rabbits to show to the group.
The Cloverbuds also worked on an art project where they created animals using their handprints, played “Poultry Bingo,” made “Find and Seek” bottles, and learned how to make puppy chow, which they later were able to eat.
Any child who is age five through eight is eligible to be a Cloverbud.  Once a child turns eight (as of Jan. 1), they can become a 4-H member.
